I have been transitioning for 7 months now. It is going a lot better than the beginning stages. I have found a few products that my hair is working really well with. I also purchased some products that my hair hated. Waste of money. This is why I can't be a product junkie. If I find something that works it is difficult to try other products. I have to find out about sample products.
My hair is getting thicker and I love it! I'm still trimming the relaxed ends and I can't wait when none of it remains. I think one of these days I am just going to chop it all off but for some reason I can't do it yet. I have gotten rid of a lot of the relaxed ends though! :)
Anyway, last picture update was in June so I have one picture from July and two from this month.

Looks great.
ReplyDeleteI want to try WEN. Have you heard of it? My husband runs a concrete plant & when he leaves at 4 am, sometimes I can't sleep & Chaz Dean's commercial is on for Wen!
Seems like it's good for all hair types, but I just haven't ordered. Mine is dry!
It's gonna be such a relief when you're done chopping off the last bit of those relaxed ends! A girls hair can be SUCH a major source of frustration... the things we go through for beauty, huh? =) I love your natural look!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on keeping it going Fait so proud of you! Your hair is looking full and beautiful! Glad your finding products that work for you. There's a ton of youtube videos on styling and black girl long hair is a great resource as well!
ReplyDeleteyour hair is looking beautiful. please keep updating with pics :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good as usual!
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks fab! Yaaah to natural..my natural hair looks far from yours...you must have some good hair!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited that you've stuck with this. And I have to say- you and your hair look STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I admire your tenacity. 7 months is a long time! Keep up the good work. Pretty pics!
ReplyDeleteur hair and u is really looking.... keep up the gud work and i love ur motivation.
ReplyDeleteLoving the hair! I don't know how you put so much work in to it, if I'd been at it for 7 months, I'd probably have reached the point where I decided to shave it all off by now!
ReplyDeleteStill looking good
ReplyDeletewow! it is really looking great =)
ReplyDeleteHey -- if you want to try new products, buy from Sephora and/or Ulta -- you can return products even if you have tried them =)
You and your hair are gorgeous! The natural looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI tried going natural for a year back in 2009. I loved that my hair grew thicker and healthier but I couldn't last any longer. It was tough. Kudos to you! Don't be like me Faith...don't quit!
ReplyDeleteI love your hair!! I'm living vicariously through you for sure!! Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteCute!! I like it natural!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend is doing the same thing, going natural. She just got so tired of the relaxed, chemical hair. She cut it shorter, and shorter, and shorter, and eventually it was SUPER short, but now it's coming back, and looks great. You gotta try more than one product, and yes it's a waste of money, but glad you were able to find some that really worked!
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along nicely!!
ReplyDeleteI've been natural since 2007, and I love it! I used to be a product junkie, but after realizing my money could go to better things (i.e. bils, traveling, shopping), I stopped. I found what products work for me, and that's what I use. A while ago, I started mixing MSM in my breakfast shakes, and my hair has been growing like crazy. Also, I've been bunning my hair, and it's helped a lot too.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteT.
I'm natural as well. I transitioned for 8months and I couldnt take the pain of managing two textures, so I did the big chop! its the best decision Ive made. you dont have to be a product junkie, find what works for you and stick to it
ReplyDeleteI think your hair looks great! You are doing a great job transitioning and styling! I chopped after 14 mos. It was to the middle of my neck straight by then.
ReplyDeleteYou hair already looks 100% natural! So jealous! I've been transitioning since April, but I'm so afraid of becoming a product whore lol! I've been mixing my own concoctions so far.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous girl! :)
Tiffany, I'm the same way. My kitchen is like a hair lab and so far I have been in love with a natural hair concoction that I found on youtube!
ReplyDeleteFaith, Your hair looks so cute and HEALTHY! Keep us posted on the progress!
