I use to go to Montreal a lot when I was in college since we were so close. And although I loved the city I always felt a tad bit unwelcomed. I knew that there were some who live in Montreal who also speak English but everywhere we went people would pretend to only speak French. It always made for an interesting visit and it was actually kinda funny.
But this time around people were so pleasant. We were given directions in English, people smiled and talked with us, etc. This one gentlemen gave us directions to a restaurant, saw that we were going the wrong way and walked back to us to let us know. It almost felt like I was in a completely different place this time around.
I took so many pictures each day so it is only right to break down each day with day pictures and then night pictures.
After we got ready for the day we headed to Mikes for breakfast. It was absolutely delicious and was just what we needed because after breakfast the girls and I went shopping. Oh right. Another couple of our friends joined us in Montreal on Saturday.
I fell in love with a store I have never been to called Bedo! Zaras was so busy as they were having a sale but the checkout line was just too long. I forced myself to admire with my eyes and not my wallet.
Forever 21 was having the same sale in Montreal that they had in New York a few weeks ago, so it was fun to see my girlfriends freak out over .49 earrings!
This was me after a long day of shopping. You'd have a smile too after all the good deals we scored even if your feet were swollen two sizes, too big.
This day I also tried something that I never thought I would try. I’ll share what that was on my next post. Actually no one likes a tease, so do you want a hint?
I smoked steam. Yeah, steam.
