After Sean patiently took my pictures over the weekend, I sat down to think of how much I adore the guy. So I wrote this post and I’ll force him to read it later. He's going to ask me what it is I want. I'll have to let him know that I don't want anything but maybe .... ;).
When he says “love your big bodunkadunk”, I know he means it as a compliment.
He does the lawn and picks up dog poop without complaint. OK, I lie. He does complain (that girl poops A LOT) but he does it. I have a confession to make. I’ve never picked up Izabella’s poop. Poop is the funniest word, ever.
He does the dishes when I don’t feel like it and does laundry even if sometimes he dries something I wish he hadn’t.
He sometimes comes home bearing little gifts like Chinese food, ice cream or McDonald fries. All bad for my figure but he knows that ice cream and I are BFFs.
He always lets me know that he wants me and I love that about him. And if I ever need an image boost I can always count on Sean to tell me how hot he thinks I am.
He goes shopping with me when he would rather chew glass and helps me pick out items by the expressions on his face. I know when something looks awful on me because his face tells me so. Luckily for me he never has to say it out loud.
He tells me how great of a cook I am and licks his plate. He always says, “can’t wait for your cooking.” You don’t know how happy this makes me. And it is funny because I never thought I would be the wife that would be thrilled when her husband tells her how delicious the meal was. I thought I was going to be the wife that told her husband how delicious the meal he made was.
If our dog and cat are any indication of how much our future kids would love him then our kids are going to LOVE him. I’m almost jealous already.
He is so patient (except for when it comes to my excessive picture taking, lame). I mean, sometimes I want to smack myself but he just listens and waits and keeps the smacking for my behind. TMI? Yeah, it is but 85 year old Faith wants to know that her behind was smacked. Serious ;).
He makes the best expressions. Seriously, it’s hard to really get your point across (when you’re yelling) when someone is making a funny face the way Sean does. Sometimes it isn’t even on purpose but the expressions get me every time.
He has red hair. No one would ever know but he does. Wouldn’t it be awesome if our future kiddos have red hair with dark skin? I think so.
When we end our bible studies with prayer he always says a prayer for me and my family. It is the nicest thing to hear someone pray for you outloud.
He loves me. Flaws and all and I have a lot of flaws; luckily so does he. But today, I want to point out the good, because he has a lot of good. So much good that even though sometimes he forgets to lock the door, forgets to keep his farts to himself, makes faces when I want a serious picture or complains when I want to take pictures, I know that being loved by him means that I get to be me.
I get to be the girl who annoys him with my excessive picture taking, the girl who takes too long to get ready because she can't figure out an outfit, the girl who sometimes doesn't think before she talks, the girl who texts and meets strangers from the Internet, the girl who "just has to finish this blog post so please stop talking". I get to be who I am, so sometimes if a girl has to show some love by being a tad bit mushy, so be it.
I hope you all have fabulous weekends! ♥

ReplyDeleteI love this Faith. While I think it's important to continue remembering that you yourself are a wonderful wife it's great to see you pay tribute to the wonderful husband that is Sean. From picking up dog poop to taking your photographs he seems like a great man and I hope that he enjoys this post as much as we all have.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo super sweet and so well written. Sometimes it's so easy to compare our husbands to other husbands and be like, why don't you surprise me like X's husband does. But then I take a step back and realize how great he is day to day and loves me! I should consider myself so lucky!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!

You guys are too cute. I love your love. :-)
ReplyDeleteAww! This was so cute! I bet it made his heart melt a little. Isn't it so great to have someone love you unconditionally (besides our parents) and loves you flaws and all?!? And that we can love that person back just the same?! It's pretty amazing. We are so lucky :)
