{Recipe} Blonde Sangria

IMG_7069
When Colleen invited us over for a little barbeque a few weekends ago, I knew that I wanted to make sangria. I love sangria in the summer time. I just find it to be such a refreshing drink. Colleen is not a fan of red wine so I knew that I had to use white wine to make the sangria.

I googled recipes for sangria and came across the Blond Sangria via Food.com. I'm so glad I did! It is incredible.

Ingredients:

750 ml white wine
375 ml vodka, top shelf like Stoli's
1 (64 ounce) can pineapple juice
1 liter Sprite
1 (12 ounce) can cranberry juice
1 cup strawberry, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
2 cups ice cubes

Directions:

1 - Mix all liquid ingredients with the ice into a punch bowl, then add the fruit.
2 - Stir, serve up, and enjoy.

I did things a little differently than the directions. I had the fruit marinate in the sangria for about 5 hours without ice, inside of the fridge. A few ice cubs was placed in each of our glasses before I poured us all a glass. But I'm sure either way you'll be extremely happy :).
