Summer Evenings ♥

A few weekends ago, Sean and I went to Colleen’s for a little barbeque.

We had a great time. We talked, ate, jammed out to music and played board games. It was relaxing and just the most perfect way to spend a summer evening.

I made sangria and it was so delicious. I’ll be sure to share the recipe soon.

I’m going to miss spending time with Colleen. She truly is my best friend. The friend that I consider a sister. The person I know will always lend an ear when I’m freaking out about something. I continue to feel crazy blessed that she is in my life.

I’m thinking that the distance only means more phone calls, more texts and sending even more pictures of each other making faces. Oh and let me not forget to mention the texts that do not include words just emojis. Those are always the most fun.

And now I'm ready for a sangria. At 7:44 AM. :)

Colleen is so beautiful and I love all the food photos, just delicious. Friendships that are real and true never get taken away by distance from my own experience, especially in this modern day and age like you say, bonds are made with the best of friends that will never be broken and I believe that about yourself and Colleen!

Yes, please share your sangria recipe! It looks amazing! One of the hardest things about living in DC is being away from my close friends. As much as there are good things about living here, that is definitely one of the tough parts.

Love those shoes and yum to the Sangria! My best friends all live in different cities and we are closer than the friends who live near me. Emoji and snapchat are the best! We send each other crazy pics and wordless texts all the time and we know exactly what we mean! Absence makes the heart grow fonder! :)

Friends like that are hard to find but the real ones stay in touch. Glad you are getting in some more fun with her before you have to leave.

I feel you, going away to college meant leaving back home most of my friends. It sucks, but hey it's time to move to greater things, and like you said, she is only a phone call away(:

Aww good friends are so hard to come by -- I'm glad you have her! Distance will only make the bond stronger.

You look adorable. I have those same Steven Madden shoes in leopard -- aren't they so comfy? I wish I got them in every color.
