Yesterday, Sean and I took a road trip to Asbury Park, NJ with Izabella. The weather was in the mid 60s which is the highest it has been in months so we woke up early and were on the road by 10am to enjoy the day.
Izabella loves the water so we made sure to go to the ocean and it was the best to see her play in the water.
It was very cloudy at first but then the sun came out later on and it felt amazing.
We became thirsty so we walked around to find a place to get some drinks and happened to find The Wonder Bar. We decided to stop here because they host a Yappy Hour where you can bring your dog and enjoy food and drinks.
We found this to be the best idea ever! It was awesome to not have to leave Izy in the car while we got a few drinks. She enjoyed herself so much.
After, we got dinner at Brickwall Tavern & Dining Room and had amazing food. Sean ordered a grilled chicken burger that came with applewood smoked bacon and chipotle southwest dressing. I ordered a crab & shrimp cake burger. So, so good!
After dinner we headed to the dog beach (not many dogs were out on the beach) and the sun was out in full force. Izy could run around without a leash (except when we were on the rocks) which was pure happiness for her.
It was the perfect Saturday and I am so excited for the warmer weather to finally arrive and the fact that I can stop being a hermit now!
When we arrived back home the most gorgeous sunset greeted us. Unfortunately, I could not capture the true beauty but it was stunning.
