San Antonio, Texas

After our boat ride we decided to walk around San Antonio. Here are some pictures I snapped while we continued to sight see.

Then we headed back to the Riverfront for dinner.

While we were on the boat Sean mentioned that he wanted to check out some restaurant called "Last Resort" because the margaritas looked good. I agreed because I like to eat ;). Anyway, we get there and the waitress is sprawled out on the table talking to us. I did not hear a word she said because my mind was completely boggled that she was sprawled out on the table talking to us. We asked for a menu and she told us to look up. Look up? What the hell?! And sure enough on the ceiling was a menu. Sean made a big show of laying flat on his back on the bench that way he could see the menu. When the waitress left I was like, "Is she weird or what?" And he was like, "Yeah, awful service. If I go to a restaurant I would like to be handed a menu not told to look up." I agreed but we were not going to leave because we were seated and just wanted to eat.

Things continued to be a little, ok, VERY weird but once we got our drinks we decided to overlook it. It wasn't until we heard our waitress introduce herself to her other table that we finally get it. She said something along the line of "the theme of the restaurant is providing service with sarcasm". And then it ALL clicked and we started laughing. We were sure we were getting punked or were on Boiling Points or something, lol. In the end we completely enjoyed ourselves because once we realized this it became downright hilarious. We told our waitress and she was like, "OMG, you didn't know?! I told you when you were seated!" I said, "Yeah, we just couldn't believe you were on top of our table taking our order so we didn't bother to listen to your introduction."

Our waitress went as far as to get Sean and I hats. His hat said "I Hope I Get Some Tonight" and my hat said "#Ratchet". So not nice, haha. But we had a great time and if we ever get the chance we will visit a "Dick's (get it?!) Last Resort" again.

  9. I remember going to one in Dallas while I was in high school with my family....like y'all we had NO CLUE the theme of the restaurant and my parents stormed out they were so offended! Haha!! (We've all chilled with age, thankfully.)

  11. LOLOL @ your crossed out comment. You're married it's not ratchet ;) Sound's like an amusing place, although probably wouldn't go again. Being at an obnoxious themed restaurant is really only adorable once.

LOVE LOVE LOVE all the pictures, and I want to go to San Antonio!
