We spent several hours each day I was in San Antonio at the hotel's pool. It was rather small but when you are the only guests at the pool area it felt a bit bigger. The hotel has a grill that guests are allowed to use so Sean grilled dinner the day I arrived. Since Sean has been gone I haven't grilled because, well, let's just say that I'm afraid of the grill, you know with the fire and all. Due to that no good reason, I've been missing my grilled food and can't wait for Sean to get back to make up for lost time. I'm seeing a lot of grilled everything in my future.
We tried the Hofbrau Beer Garden and enjoyed the food and service. Our waiter was hilarious and kept us laughing the whole time. When he saw me taking pictures of my food he offered to take a picture of Sean and I! For some odd reason, I have a bit of a problem asking people I don't know to take pictures of Sean and I, which is why you don't see many on this blog. But when someone offers my head can't stop nodding.
When I ask Sean to smile for the camera this is what I often get.
Which is why it is always best to catch him off guard.
As for me, I'm always ready with a smile even when Texas weather has my hair looking phunked up. And that drink, all sorts of deliciousness!
Sean had the pulled pork sandwich.
I had the Texas Grilled Shrimp Pasta.
We also went salsa dancing. I did the dancing, Sean did the ... hmmm, what do we even call it?
And let's not forget brunch. I can't travel without having a Belgian Waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream.
My favorite ♥
I hope that I'll be able to make it back to Texas one day. There are a few bloggers who live there that I must meet :).
And this my friends concludes my Texas recap. Back to regular programming!
Not that I really have a regular program but it sounded good.

ReplyDeleteThis post made me want to go to Texas just to eat!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun in my state! And yesssss you must come back, but to Houston ;) looks like a great visit. And sigh at the Texas weather. I'm scared for my hair this summer. :-(
ReplyDelete!!!! These are such beautiful pictures (both this post & the one before it)! Especially those food pics. Mmm now I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteAlso that romper(??) outfit is super cute on you.

ReplyDeleteYou always manage to make every dish look delish!
ReplyDeleteLoving that little black dress. You wear it well!
Ooh it looks so lovely. I look very much to when I can send a day by the pool :) I had one of those upside down drinks with a san miguel in a frozen margarita. I think they called it a beerita. Well, it got us craaayzay drunk haha. Gotta love rainforest cafe :) :)
ReplyDeleteVery funny post. You are lucky he posed for the camera. My husband hates having his pictures taken. I love your outfits and the foods look delicious.
ReplyDeleteMore yummy food! I have trouble asking people to take pictures of us, too, which is why I feel like I never have any good ones to post or pick from for our holiday cards. LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! You're so pretty :) And you two totally crack me up...
ReplyDeleteBTW, what's this waffle strawberry goodness!? Can you tell your blog friend over here where to get that deliciousness!? :)
Beautiful pictures faith!
ReplyDeleteSo much delicious food (and you are still one of the cutest couples I have ever seen to this day!) So glad you both enjoyed yourself, I love reading about your travels Faith xo
ReplyDeleteGlad that you had a great time in San Antonio...beautiful scenes!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photographs too! I'm terrified of the grill too, but I insist on owning one when I move. I LOVE grilled food.
ReplyDeleteI'm weird about people taking my photographs too, mostly because I feel fat constantly (I'll stop it one day), and because i'm mildly worried they'll run off with my camera and steal it.
Hi. As occasional reader of your blog (and a Texan) I am glad to see you had fun in San Antonio. Try to get to Houston one day... it is the best city in the state! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat food looks so delicious and I love your outfits, especially that black dress. You look fabulous!
ReplyDeletelove the pics, I'm glad you got to spend a little time with him, looks like y'all had fun:)
ReplyDeleteSoooo when are you gonna ship my food??? I'm only like a gazillion miles away. UPS or Fed-Ex gat this! So yeah...about my food...from San Antonio...yeah that. *taps fingers*
ReplyDeleteSalsa dancing is sooo hot especially for couples! I love how you are so willing to try new things. Keep it spicy girl! :D Ok I'm done hehe
xoxo
So glad you had a good time while you were here and that it wasn't oppresively hot. Had you visited in August, you would have gotten off the plane and turned right back around and headed home!
ReplyDeleteI'm always afraid to ask people to take pictures of me (or anyone/anything) with my "good" camera, too!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Sean - as always - have me cracking up!
I don't mess with grills (or really anything dealing with fire), either!! No way, no how! Plus, I wear too much hairspray for that to be safe! HAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteNow you understand my hair struggles...summers and humidity in TX don't bode well for my hair. UGH!
Glad you had a great trip in SA, it's really a fun place to take visitors! So when are you coming back to Houston (errr..Texas)? :)
That's so nice that the pool area had a grill! That would be fun to hang out and swim and be able to eat dinner out there too. I love your cute, black dress - you look adorable! What a fun trip. :)
ReplyDeleteliterally sat and stared at the waffle for a few minutes. i want it. also i totally understand the grill fear. i can't handle the grill so ryan always does it.
ReplyDeleteNoooo... I didn't want Texas to end. Sigh. I love all forms of creamy shrimp pasta, so I am pretty sure I would order everything exactly the same. That drink though!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe food....the damn food!!!! Picture perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteSalsa dancing, Belgium waffles and dining outdoors - awesome.awesome.awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove Sean's expressions!! LOL!!
