feeling excited that Sean and I are hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year. I’m mostly excited that I don’t have to travel with a large turkey on my lap this year, ha!

craving my sister’s jollof and mac and cheese. Thankfully I get it in a few days!

needing to pick up flowers after work today.

thankful for my family. I don't know what I would do without them.

watching Atypical on Netflix. Cinthia recommended it to me and I don’t know what took me so long. It is so good!

listening to 90s grunge the last few days. I tend to get in different music moods each week. This week and last it's 90s grunge.

loving that the holidays are here!

missing my mom, every single day.

wearing a cream poncho, black pants and black shoes.

making the turkey on Thursday! I always try to push this task off to someone else each year and it never works. I think it is time to come to terms with the fact that I'll always be the sucker, ha.

realizing that I get to start decorating for Christmas this week. Crazy!

looking forward to the coming weeks. So many good things happening and it makes me happy to end this year on a high note.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope that you are spending it with the people you love. Also, sending an extra prayer to anyone who is grieving. It isn't easy when someone special is missing, especially during the holidays, but I hope that you are comforted and surrounded by those you love and with the ones that love you ♥

  1. YAY for hosting. My mom wound up injuring herself a couple weeks ago, so she's making a simple roast - lol. Which is fine with me, none of us particularly care for turkey.

Is Jollof a rice dish? Mmm Mac n cheese!

I should pick up flowers too- lift my spirits a little :D

Your family seems like an amazing bunch <3 I know your mom is with you in spirit.

Still need to watch Atypical.. it's on my list. I LOVE all the 90s music (grunge, rnb, rap etc)

Wait to put the poncho on AFTER you make the turkey. (or just order the turkey ;) )

I won't be decorating this year, because I can't get Samuel to leave ANYTHING alone. I did promise Dom we can bring up a couple items though.

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving too <3

    1. It was really so great to host! I love hosting. I hope that your mom is doing better. A roast always sounds good!

Yes it is! The best rice dish! My sister makes the best mac n cheese and she only makes it for Thanksgiving!

Yes! It's amazing how flowers lift the spirit. I hope you picked some up.

They are, I love them so. And I completely believe that she is here with us in spirit. It's amazing the signs she continues to send to all of us.

I think you'd enjoy the show! It's really good. And the 90s had the best music!

Well, maybe Dom can also get his room decorated a bit. I'm sure that'll excite him as well :)

Thank you, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well!
