I am the google queen.
If something can't be figured out, I say, "Google It".
It is normal for me to say this about ten times per day.
Each time I say, "Google It". My co-worker, like clock work, will say:
"Do you know that 15 years ago Google did not even exist?"And each time I shake my head and say, "I don't believe that".
The first time she told me that, I truly didn't believe her so I googled, "When was Google created?" Yup, I did.
Google has become a part of me. If I want to know something, I google. I can't imagine not being able to google.
Has Google changed your life too? It might not be for the better, but it definitely has changed mine.
Now googling is a verb! Crazy times we live in. Gotta love it, though :)
ReplyDeleteYup! I depend on Google a lot!
ReplyDeleteI found tomato cuff links for my friend's fiancée to wear to their Italian inspired wedding. She was in awe of how I found them.
ReplyDeleteI Googled it.
Wait, what? Google hasn't ALWAYS been around? A life without Google is no life at all!
ReplyDeleteOops, meant to sign into my other account before leaving that last comment!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love google. I definitely use it several times a day. Whenever my hubby and I get into a friendly debate about something (even if we are in the car) I just check google help clalrify things. Of course he's usually right but I still check anyway. LOL
ReplyDeleteNot only has Google changed me...but I also love when they change the logo up on the homepage and you can have lots of fun with it. Like the one day it was Pac-man...or today how it was some sort of under the sea vessel that you could control. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteAt first we used a search engine at school that had a dog. Then one day, a kid said to me, try this new search engine, Mrs. M. called google. That opened my life. It's not the only one and in education it is recommended that you use others, but when you want an answer almost immediately.....Google it.
ReplyDeleteFaith,
ReplyDeleteSadly, I've too been affected. I don't even bother searching for things on Yahoo! Any searches I do are always on Google.
It's funny how you didn't believe your coworker that Google hasn't been around forever. My kids will never know a life w/o Google.
LOL! I still remember when you had to use Compuserve and AOL was becoming the new big thing. And there were like six or seven different search engines you could use, and Google wasn't one of them!
ReplyDeleteMe too, I love google, even though bing is my homepage, i'll bypass bing and go straight to Google!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE having access to anything I need to know by looking it up in a minute. I don't know how we ever survived without it!!
ReplyDeleteGoogle really is the answer to everything!
ReplyDeleteFunny how you googled when Google was created - heehee!
Just wondering if you saw the award I gave you on my blog? If you didn't, please check it out.
I feel like google is crucial to functioning in society!
ReplyDeletein more ways than one! My maiden name is Googins...so my nickname to many became Google!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Google!! I Google everything and I do the exact same thing at work. When someone asks a question, I say "Google It!" My co-worker told me when she had a question she used to phone the library- haha. One of the reason's I named my blog "Forever Searching for Answers" is because I am forever looking for an answer on Google for EVERYTHING. I am the most curious person in the world and Google has def answered more questions than a normal person would've been able to!
ReplyDeleteYeah, what did we do before google?
ReplyDeleteyes! yes! yes!! I am a google maniac! I don't know where I'd be without it! I especially LOVE the "street view" feature on google maps! It makes traveling so easy. Believe it or not, I have based my vacations on "street view"! Ha! Love ya Faith!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know how people fuctioned without Google before.
ReplyDeleteI love Google, I am obsessed with it. Seriously, got my mom obsessed with it too!!
ReplyDeleteI google everything....i can't believe there was actually a time we didn't have it....that was a sad information-less time obviously.
ReplyDeleteGoogling is everything. I google my name, my blog, my baby planning everything... Wow, googling is addictive like blogging :)!
ReplyDeleteBut some can have bad experiences with google too. Once someome googled my husband's name and they revealed his identity on the blog he used to comment on, it was very painful and mean, but he came out okay.
Google is good but painful as well. But the love for it will never pass :).
I absolutely love Mr. Google and don't know how I lived before he was born.
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh! I Google absolutely everything, too! I mean EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteI am in sync with everyone here ..sometimes I don't know what I'd do with Google ..it really is the answer to everything or so we've made it :)
ReplyDeleteMy blogger dashboard is wack- I didn't see this post there.
ReplyDeleteBack to your post- I love google as well...but to be quite frank- I SUCK at it. I google something and don't find a result, but a friend goes and google the same thing and finds everything and then some. I need to use better key words..meh. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Yes I also am a googler lady...I know exactly what you mean. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeletelol and I thought I was the only one who constantly promote the concept of self initiative search engine. I always tell my clients (mostly youth and newcomers) to google everything they are curious about instead of waiting for the answers from someone. Google is good, but only if you live in a country where the internet is not censored and controlled. The downside to google is that its a form of mind lazy if such a thing exist. We lost the art of good old fashion research in the library or just reading books. Everything, well almost everything is available via google. Hell, it event starts revolutions in the Middle East today.
ReplyDeleteI'm the exact same way!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's!!
XOXO

Google is my BFF. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I do the same thing, whenever my fiancee brings something up and we can't figure it out... I always say to google it. And it always finds me the answer. I much prefer google to yahoo search, bing, etc.
ReplyDeleteSeriously... what did we do before google? Life must have been so difficult
