{Insert Clever Title Here}

Hubs leaves for Peru today. So we had a little date last night that way he can't forget me. It is raining all week so I took this chance to wear my Hunters. Go figure that hubs wore flip-flops.

I wish I could go. I can’t. Some work stuff and honestly it costs a lot of money. Money that I would rather spend for Vegas later on in the year.

He’s going for a co-worker’s wedding.

He is super excited about it. He said, “When am I ever going to get another chance to go to Peru?” I guess never.

You know how he likes to travel and all.

I’m so not excited about it.

International calls = Expensive.

This means, I won’t get any calls and I will actually have to check my Facebook for any messages from him.

Oh and don’t even bother trying to rob me.

I have a pit-bull.

  1. International travel away from the spouse is no fun - I was just in the UK a few months ago. What my hubby and I did was both download free apps that called over wifi. Vonage is one and Vring is another. I would call him over wifi from the hotel and it was pretty much free. Our biggest problem was the time difference. I'm sure his time away will go quickly though!

  2. Boo it sucks with the husb is away. Mine travels a lot for work and he was away internationally a lot for work this winter/spring. We avoid the phone and use gchat and email- we are too cheap for the international calls! haha!

And I am not fooled by your pit bull.. I know just how mean they are. ;-) We always joke about our mean pit bull puppy too... usually as she is licking us to death.

  3. Sorry you hubs is leaving for a few days :( I know how sucky that is. But I have never had to deal with the international travel scenario. No communication would be way too rough - so thank goodness for Facebook :)

  13. Ooooh Vegas. I'm going in June. Oh, how I wish that we would have been there at the same time so I could meet you!! Well, it's true. There is no other chance for Peru and I think I prob would have skipped it as well. When hubby travels I pretty much keep up with him on Face book too!

  15. I hear ya on missing the husband! It's hard to be apart. Hopefully your pup will keep you good company. I know our furry babies do when Graham is busy studying for the BAR!

P.S. I had to laugh at your post title. Sometimes it's much harder than it should be to come up with titles, isn't it? :)

  24. i want some hunters. badly. they're going on my christmas list (again) this year.

i hope that your hubs has a good time, but i understand you're not excited about it. and i love your comment about the pit bull... i am always hesitant to say the hubs is going to be out of town because of some crazy finding out i'm home alone... and i doubt my cat would be as scary as your pit bull... hahaha

  25. It would have been so nice if you could have gone together. Damn expensive trips. Vegas with the hubs later is way more fun anyway. I hope you have more than one pitbull tho, I know where you live...jk

  28. Sounds like you're really going to miss your love! I don't like being away from my hubby. It's a bummer.
I think Facebook messaging is the way to go! Free and effective! :)
Izabella definitely is a vicious animal. lol. ;) No one will even THINK to mess with you! :)

Don't worry, he'll be home before you know it! Hopefully you can talk him into taking pics for the blog while he's there!

  29. What a great opportunity for the hubs, but just think you can have guilt free indulgent girl time to yourself :)

  30. at least you have Facebook... Clinton is in Ontario for work which = international calls too. He doesn't have Facebook and very rarely checks his email. We've been using FaceTime but it doesn't work on my computer so he has to call my phone from his computer which sucks because I am sure that is considered an international call to my phone.
