The following day we quickly packed our things and headed to the strip to check into the Flamingo. Again, it was an extremely quick experience and we were on the strip walking around within 45 minutes of leaving the Rio.
We decided to have brunch at Serendipity 3. The wait was about 20 minutes but we went early. I've heard such great things about their frozen hot chocolate so I decided to give it a try. I tried their Oreo frozen hot chocolate and it was amazing. We ate outside under a hot pink tent so you'll notice that all the pictures taken under the tent have a pink hue to it. Let's just say that I could not get a good shot for the life of me. I tried.. The food we had was very, very good. Sean had eggs and inside of the eggs were french fries! At first, I did not understand why Sean had eggs with a side of fries on his plate until I had a bite and realized that the fries were actually inside the eggs. Life changing I tell you.
After eating we decided to walk the strip. There are so many new businesses opening up which means that we'll have to go again obviously. Sean's parents went with us last year and it was at this time last year that Sean's mother's sister passed away. It was their first time and not the best experience due to her death. Sean's mom has asked that we all go together again next year. We couldn't say no so we're planning another trip.
I felt like this day I got back my picture taking mojo. Maybe because I was going to break down later in the evening. But either way, I was glad to have gotten it back ;).
Later on in the evening we had dinner at a delicious Mexican restaurant. For the life of me I cannot remember the name. I had an incredible fish taco. The food I had on the trip was completely worth the weight I gained. I just won't say how much. Colleen and Sean, keep it shut ;).
I really wish that we had stayed a couple more days but Sean had to get back to work. I'm excited to go again next year because as great as it was, my brain was a bit scattered. And I think that next year I'll be a little more excited to be at our most favorite place to visit.
I hope you all have wonderful weekends! xoxo♥
