I haven't been silent about my desire to leave 2013 behind but I think I ought to tell 2013 that you weren't the worst year I've ever had. I think the problem with you 2013 is that you came with a lot of change and I don't do very well with change. I had a very hard time accepting our move, I'm having a hard time finding a job which makes me feel like I'm not really living in my new city and rather just visiting.
Despite the changes and a lot of emotional breakdowns there were many highlights and I am so very grateful for that.
2013 taught me that change happens whether I like it or not and I have no other choice but to embrace it. So 2014, I'm not going to put any pressure on you but a job that I enjoy would be great!
Happy New Year to all my readers and dear friends! Let's make it a good one! ♥
"*Got pneumonia. The worst thing ever!" <--- that's because you wore that beautiful pink dress out in the snow ;) YES - had to give you a hard time.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post, love seeing how everything changed. Whats funny is some of these posts, I remember as if you JUST posted it. The job will come, in the mean time look forward to not scraping the snow off your car :D
Thanks for being a faithful blogger in 2013. I enjoyed reading all of your posts. May 2014 have that perfect and fullfilling position waiting for you. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Also may your desires, prayers and dreams come true. All the best. I'll be reading with you on the other side.
ReplyDeleteYou got your drivers license...well that was worth everything that happened in 2013.
ReplyDeleteHNY when it comes
there were some ups and there were some downs but that's pretty much the way life goes! You got your license and you were forced to deal with some major changes which I know is scary. 2013 seems more good then bad and I hope that 2014 is better. I know how badly you want to find a job as good as the one you left and I hope that you do and soon!!
ReplyDeleteYou have had a great year, my dear. :) Wishing you all the best in 2014!

ReplyDeleteLOVE this recap, such a good idea. I thought I would copy you and do one similar but then I got to thinking...I don't think I did something noteworthy every month lol. How sad! I hope 2014 brings lots of joy and hopefully a job!
ReplyDeleteWhooohoooo to the license! 2013 was definitely a year but I'm confident 2014 will be even better! God knows the desires of your heart. Soon soon soon those desires will come to pass!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great year you've had. Despite all the changes and the disappointment with job hunting I think you've made the best of the cards you were dealt with. Looking forward to more good times in 2014 and maybe hopefully a resolution on the job front a less change for you :).

Happy New Year, Faith! You had a great year and I remember all the posts like they happened yesterday... :) Let's embrace the change and hope 2014 will offer us the best. I was ready to write how forgettable 2013 was... but looking at my own year in review, i decided it was a good year for me too. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Faith!! It's crazy how fast the year flew by, but you captured your highlights beautifully. I pray 2014 is just as memorable...and full of new surprises that keep a smile on your face!! :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI can be the same way with change. Sometimes I really like it, but I only tend to like the parts of it that feel good rather than the parts that I know are stretching and growing me.
ReplyDeleteHoping 2014 brings all you desire - especially the job, a city that feels more like home, and a community of new friends. Happy New year friend!
