I Always Considered Myself To Be Quite Girly...


....until I met blog land.

I have come to the conclusion that I gave myself too much credit.

I follow beauty blogs because I love beautiful things & beautiful people. I am a Libra so that makes up for 95% of it.

I love fashion and I love clothes. I thought I loved makeup until I found out from blog land that I don't have a big collection at all. And hair products? Forget about it.

It was a sad day when I realized that I don't own lipstick. Not one.

How can I accept being called girly if I don't own lipstick? I have tons of lip gloss but no lipstick.

My lips are always the same color. Shiny. But not like I just ate a bucket of fried chicken. Maybe glossy is a better way to describe my lips.

And as much as I love clothes and fashion, I can't imagine taking pictures of what I wear everyday. Or taking pictures of clothes I buy, when I buy them.

I am not as girly as I thought I was. I could take up boxing. I know I love a good fight and after you turn 15, you really don't have any excuse for fist on face action. Hmmm, maybe rugby. No that's OK, I am not insane.

I think I would rather just go shopping for a new pair of hot pink stilettos. I don't know what says girly more than hot pink stilettos!

    haha I'm with ya on that! I do own my share of makeup and lipstick but as girlie as I thought I was...I don't hold a candle to some other ladies out there lol

    Some of us just aren't cut out for the whole fashion blog thing. Unless you're going for the "Laugh at me because it looks like there is something mighty uncomfortable going on under that skirt from TJ MAXX." Cause that's what happened when I tried it.

    I like gloss. Gloss is good. And just like you said, it's glossy!

    I don't even try to fool myself and call myself girly...I barely do my makeup and with my job you can't wear makeup or nail polish...thank goodness Big Man still thinks I'm beautiful! :)

    I am with you on this! I don't spend nearly as much thought and time into my *daily* or *going out* makeup as most ladies do. I LOVE the fashions also but I am so comfortable with 'regular' clothes.

    Let's challenge ourselves to step it up in the makeup & fashion department.

    Ha ha! I feel the same way! I am no where near as fabulous as these blog girls, buuuuuutttttt my hair interest saves me, lol! My friend who does pro makeup in ATL inspired my red lipstick. I say go buy some lipstick! Its fun and the quickest way to turn up the girliness! Sephora brand is the cheapest. Let me know what you find!

    I on the other hand wear vaseline for lip gloss and haven't worn a stitch of makeup since my last photoshoot...i think that was early 2010.

    I vow to become a girl before I turn 30. I only have like a month and a half to go. GULP!!!

    I own several lipsticks but they don't make an appearance unless it's show day...lol...I'm more of a Carmex kind of girl :)

    I agree with the ladies, i would never have thought that you weren't girly! you always look very girly and hot in all your pictures. i also love fashion blogs but displaying my fashion finds would just be too weird...thanks for visiting my blog...i always llike when you stop by. your profile picture totally makes my day:-)

    I too have a ton of lip gloss!! And hubs calls mine fried chicken lips. I bought my first tube of lipstick a couple of months ago because I was tired of always looking the same...shiny. I haven't worn it out yet but I will have for when I need to.

    I can relate. I thought I was girly till I came across some beauty blogs then I realized I'm a beauty and fashion tadpole. Most of my money goes towards shoes!

    I consider myself girly too :) I hate lipstick, it dries my lips out. I am much more of a lipgloss girl. I also don't take pictures of my clothes when I buy them. I don't use a ton of hair products and I have really whittled down my makeup stash over the years. I know what works for me, so why have a ton of crap I won't use? :P

    I think that I might own 2 lipsticks, but I never wear them. Hardly ever bother with lipgloss either, but that's only because I know I'm going to forget to reapply when I'm out, and I only ever wear make up when I'm going on a night out...so I'm only girly once a week, or even as rarely as once a month!

    I think that I am girly most of the time. I love lipgloss and not really a lipstick gal. I love a good handbag and shoes.

    I do love that there a so many beauty gurus out there and I've learned so many cool makeup tricks but some ladies take their collection of makeup a bit far. You are definitely girly b/c your clothes, shoes and hair are on point. I don't really wear makeup except maybe for pictures.

    Those heels are killer! And they would probably, literally, kill me if I tried wearing them. I'd say you're more girly than me since I've prety much given up heels. I have never, ever been graceful in them. And I don't like lipstick. It's lipgloss all the way!

    Honestly your skill in balancing in heels like those makes up for the lack of lipstick! I own some lipsticks but prefer glosses hands down!

    haha i'm not a big lipstick wearer myself, but I have collected more than a few tubes over the years...

    but i think you are as girly as you feel! and I would go for the pink stilettos for sure! And maybe some matching lipstick... might as well see if you like it!

    Who needs lipstick when you have hot pink stilettos?! =) I do own lipstick, but I mostly wear lip gloss...and now that I'm pregnant I mostly stick to chapstick. I'm taking full advantage of this pregnancy glow while it lasts...the less makeup I need to wear, the easier it is for me!

    hahaha this is SO me! I NEVER ever wear lipstick. Number one, I honestly think I look like a clown with it on (true) and I dont like the way it feels. Lipgloss? everyday.
    I also could never imagine taking pictures of the clothes I wear, no knocks to anyone who does (I love to see what other people wear) but me? not so much.

    Not to mention that all I basically wear are sweats and tank tops. Thanks AGAIN to my kids.
