What do you do when you have no plans on the first 80 degree day of the year?
You google "what's happening in my town?" because taking Izy to the dog park and getting coconut cream ices at Rita's doesn't exactly cut it.
My google search led me to find that my town was holding an arts and craft fair for Mother's Day. And although I'm not a mother and had no one to go with me, it was such a gorgeous day so I wanted to be out and about.
People sat outside dining on food and sipped refreshing drinks while they enjoyed the weather.
Dog's tails wagged and pink tongues hung low.
Children walked hand in hand with their parents.
Vendors enthusiastically spoke of their pieces.
Musicians sang and popcorn was popped.
I admit that it would have been great to have company. But I think I should also admit that in the last few months I've gotten use to being with myself and enjoying my own company. Because let's face it. I'm the only person I know that listens to every single thing I say.

This looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it was only once I moved that I really learned to enjoy my own company and it turned out to not be so bad. You are such a trooper and that's a beautiful thing.
This looks like the set of a movie! Your photos are always amazing.

ReplyDeleteThat was a very beautiful 80 degree day to be out and about. This place and your pictures are beautiful...
ReplyDeleteFaith, you take such beautiful pictures! Are you sure you're not a professional photog? You might want to do it as a gig on the side. Get some extra cash to start your eventual food blogging business :-).
ReplyDeleteI love all the pics. People gazing is just the best. I could do it for hours!!! As a matter of fact, that's what I'll be doing during our vacation this year since we are going to be at a beach resort and I am not a beach person.
Love all the photographs Faith. Your town looks really picturesque and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like community events such as the Art Fair, it's not so much that I care about anyone's art, I just like to be outside among the public doing something chill (if that makes any sense haha).
I mean, the dog park and ice cream sounds like a pretty fabulous day to me ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love little festivals. I think it is great that you are getting out and exploring your town!
That sounds like a lovely day! We haven't had an 80 degree day here yet, so I'm patiently waiting!!
ReplyDeleteYour town is so cute! I think it's great you got out and about even by yourself. It really does give you the chance to truly be present wherever you are and take everything in. I don't end up doing it very often but I think it can be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you got to check this out! I'm definitely enjoying the warmer weather at last.

ReplyDeletethese are great pics, I keep meaning to ask what lenses do you use?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your making the best of your situation, it takes a long time (at least I find as an adult) to make friends when you move to a city. I've been in your shoes and I have no doubt with your outgoing and friendly personality you'll meet some people who will end up being friends.
Are there any blogger meet-up in your area? I've met some cool people through events here, just a thought :)
these are so great!!
