Sean came home last Thursday; two days earlier than I was expecting him and I was as happy as a (hmmm, what's happy?) hummingbird. If I had known earlier I would have taken last Friday off because I could not stop thinking about the fact that Sean was at home. Granted when I got home on Thursday (all excited, mind you) he was deep in sleep. I knew he was tired because he had only gotten 2 hours of sleep so I tried to be considerate by making Izy wag her tail near his face but that didn't work. I ended up slamming the cupboard and that worked.
He looked over at me and was like, "You're home!" "Yeah, for the last 30 minutes" I said. "Why didn't you wake me up?" he asked. "I was being considerate" I replied. "Rigghhhht, is that why you slammed the cupboard?" he asked. "Well, you're up now, where's my hug?" I retorted. And then we basically stayed on the couch cuddling all night.
When I got home Friday evening, we went out to dinner. We were going to go to the movies but decided that wasn't going to work because I finally had him to talk to in person and there was no way a movie was going to keep me quiet. We went back home to relax and spend time together.
Saturday morning, we had some errands to run. Did you know that if you drive too quickly over a deep pothole you'll lose your hubcaps? Well consider yourself warned. I didn't do it. Sean did it in my car over the winter and made my car ugly. Tires just don't look right without their hubcap. Saturday, I finally got two hubcaps on my tires and I'm happy to report that my car is pretty again. While we waited for my car to be serviced (oil change, alignment & hubcaps) we walked to get breakfast. I ordered a delicious strawberry crepes. This is actually the only picture I took while Sean was home because I just had no desire to take pictures. But I took a picture of this because if I didn't share it on Instagram I didn't really have strawberry crepes for breakfast and then I couldn't hashtag dirtyeating.
After we got my car, we went to a tattoo shop (this was actually my first time in one!) and Sean got a new tattoo on his quad. I didn't take a picture but I'll take one and share in the near future. It is basically a tribute for his love for rugby and his Irish heritage.
Then we picked up Izy to take her to the dog park.
When we got home I made Sean his favorite dinner while he made us margaritas. He has been eating out since he's been gone so I made sure to make his favorite. After dinner we watched a pretty ridiculous & kinda funny movie on Netflix. Pain & Gain. Not sure whether to recommend it or not, ha.
I dropped him off at the airport on Sunday at 5:30am. My eyes watered when we hugged goodbye but he reminded me that in just a few days I'll be in Texas so the tears did not fall.
Dog parks, home cooked meals, movies at home, cuddling and lots of Faithy and Seany-poo time, well, consider me happy! And the best part is that on Friday I get to travel to San Antonio to see him again! I feel like we're in a long distance relationship and I'm going to see my boyfriend for the long weekend. I'm going to see my boyfriend, I'm going to see my boyfriend! ;)
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
xoxo ♥

ReplyDeleteI love you two together. You're like...soooo totally cute man! And haha @ #dirtyeating... I'm gonna put up a clean eating photo just for you :P I kid.

Yum yum yum yum yum! I love crepes! I made them just about every Saturday. Its our family Saturday breakfast meal.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to reconnect with Sean. You're too funny about being considerate :-P. I would do something similar too only I'd likely turn on the TV :-D.
I have only been to TX once and even then, it was a quick stop over. Do take lots of pictures if you can. I'd love to see it through your eyes.
I know you were happy to see your boo! Those crepes are making me hungry!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing you got to spend those few days with him.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous weekend together.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite married moments are when it feels like we're still dating. :)
You guys are awesome. I am glad you got to see each other, and I'm glad it's happening again so soon! Enjoy!
ReplyDelete#dirtyeating!! HAHAH!! Those crepes looking amazing!
ReplyDeleteHave lots of fun in San Antonio! You must check out Mi Tierra at Market Square (it's not on the Riverwalk but SOO SOO GOOD and a fun restaurant to see - you'll have lots of reasons to take pics) and grab you a Texas-sized margarita at Rita's on The River. Wished you were coming to Houston, too...I'll let you off easy this time, though, since I'll be out of town. Ha! :)
Glad you had a good weekend with Sean, sometimes low-key weekends are the best weekends.
Glad you were able to enjoy your man for a little while. Be strong, this is only temporary. <3
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you guys got some together time :) I cannot imagine what you guys are going through right now! Hope the new job is going well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you two had a good weekend together! #dirtyeating... I love it! :) Have fun seeing your boyfriend!!!
ReplyDeleteAww, sounds like it was quality time well spent!
ReplyDeleteyay, I'm glad the two of you had a awesome time. #dirtyeating lol, I love when I see hashtags on peoples food pictures... Safe travels to Texas and I'm not sure if you have ever been to the south, but make sure you take full advantage of all of the glorified food:)
ReplyDeleteLol @ slamming the cupboard. Quality time is everything and its the little things that makes such a huge difference. Friday will be here before you blink twice. Have a fantastic trip
ReplyDeleteAw, I think it's so sweet how excited you are to see him. :) I'm sorry that he has to be away, but this is definitely an "absence makes the heart grow fonder" type of situation it seems.
ReplyDeleteThose crepes look delicious!
Y'all are so darn cute! :) I loved your method for waking him up, complete with "You're up now, so give me my hug!" LOL! Glad you finally got some QT and that you're going to see your boyfriend this weekend ;) I'm sure you're already counting down the days!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed some together time. I totally get what you mean about feeling like you are going to see your boyfriend when he gets back. The long distance thing really sucks but sometimes it's refreshing in the way that it reminds you of how it was when you were dating and didn't get to go to sleep together every night.
ReplyDeleteFaith you are too cute! Have a great long weekend with your "boyfriend" I love it. Being apart is tough, Josh is away for a week and a day. He'll be gone over the long weekend, boo. Enjoy Texas lady!
ReplyDeleteSan Antonio is such a beautiful city. The Riverwalk is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys sure had some fun! The yummy strawberry creeps, home cooked meals, walks; nice bonding.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a great weekend.
Is your honey's traveling just for a short time?
ReplyDeleteGosh, I wish we lived close.
Now, let's talk about the crepes. Oh my word, those look TOOOO good.
I love that you just took the pictures of your crepes - sometimes it feels good to put the camera down. sometimes. haha ;)
ReplyDeleteglad you and "your bf" got to spend some sweet, quality time together!! xoxox
