When Sean asked me if I would like to go to Seattle with him for his business trip, I did not hesitate and responded with an enthusiastic, yes! He made sure to remind me that this was a business trip and not a vacation so I would have to enjoy Seattle mostly by myself. I told him, book those tickets!
Although, I was aware that he would be working the entire time it did not bother me because I loved Seattle the first time we went. This time around, I did not do all the touristy things we did last year like see the space needle or visit that gross gum wall which surprisingly is very cool at the same time. But of course I did make sure to visit my most favorite farmers’ market. I'm telling you, if I could have I would have bought all the flowers. I'm so flower obsessed.
I used my days in Seattle to work out at the hotel gym, take lots of walks, finish reading Gone Girl and tried new restaurants. I had the most amazing salmon bisque. In fact, I never I had it before but it was incredible. I also ate a ridiculous amount of ice cream.
It was such a relaxing three days that I felt so refreshed when we got home. You know how often you need a vacation from a trip, not this time. I did not take as many pictures as I did the last time I went and you’ll see none of Sean and I. The only time Sean and I hung out was after work when we would do dinner with his coworkers. This is when I noticed that we were slightly overdressed. I don’t know but I think those who live in Seattle live by a more casual dress code.
We had dinner at a restaurant called 360 and it was neat because the whole concept of the restaurant is to provide local ingredients within a 360 mile radius of Seattle. It completely went over Sean's head because he asked for a Yuengling and then when our waitress said they did not have it he asked for a Jack Daniels.
Any who, it was a really nice time for me and I now know that I will be seeing Seattle again. And who knows? Maybe the next time I’ll make sure to make arrangements with some blog friends who live there that way we can finally meet!
We caught a sunset while looking out the window on the plane.
Several minutes later we touched down. Talk about a nice welcome from Seattle.
Happy Hump Day!

ReplyDeleteThe shots of food always make me hungry. I'm so glad you got to unwind and have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so beautiful. Seattle is definitely on my to visit list.
ReplyDeleteHis business trip is your vacation! I've done that before. What a nice opportunity to tag along and luxuriate in a fun new city.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfectly relaxing little get away for you!
ReplyDeleteSeattle is still on our bucket list, and you make me want to go there even more!
Oh my. Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and what a relaxing trip! That restaurant sounds so neat. I love that Sean asked for a Yuengling and Jack Daniels! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Faith! You took some really awesome pictures. I'm glad that you were able to get away with Sean. I would have jumped at the chance, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend... :)
This sounds like the most perfect trip! I cannot get over all of the vivid colors in your photos, especially the ones of the flowers, and I love that Sean ordered a Yuengling and then Jack Daniels at the 360 restaurant ;) Too funny!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend moved to Portland recently, and I'm itching to get out west for a visit!
How i got my boyfriend back.my name is Sarah Brian am from USA.i had a problem with my Boyfriend last month which lead to our broke up. when she broke up with me, i was not my self again, i fill so empty inside me. until a friend of my told me about a spell caster who helped him in the same problem too. i email the Dr Madurai and i told him my problem and i did what he asked of me, to cut the long story short. before i knew what was happening my Boyfriend gave me a call and told me that she was coming back to me and was so joyous to have he back to me. we have two kids together and we are happy with our selves. thanks to maduraitemple@yahoo.com for saving my relationship and for also saving others own too. continue your good work the great spell caster.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I ever had a vacation where I was relaxed. It sounds perfect to go somewhere, and kinda just chill, eat, and walk around the neighborhood, instead of seeing one touristy thing after another. & I'm still convinced that your food pictures adds to my daily caloric intake ;) Loved all the photographs !
ReplyDeleteSeattle is sooo magical and you captured it so well. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is GORGEOUS! And my goodness, I don't think I've ever seen flowers that pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThis place has the most perfect environment, great food, tasty wings, lots of good beer, but best of all - probably the best wait staff in all of country. Visited the venues Los Angeles last month again, had another great time.
