Several weekends ago, my girlfriend Margaret threw her daughter's 1st birthday party.
The theme was "The Enchanted Forest" and Margaret dressed as the Evil Witch and she certainly played the part! Margaret is so crafty and she used her skills to create a one of a kind party. When I received her invite I could not believe the amount of thought and time that went into creating them but she said it was hardly any work at all. She thinks up something in her mind and she can create it. She made her daughter's cake, yes, she made her daughter's cake! Basically everything that you see here she made on her own just because she can. You have no idea how much I wish my brain worked like this but nope, not a crafty bone in my body.
Her daughter's birthday is on 10/28 so Margaret decided to throw somewhat of a costume birthday party. Her daughter was Snow White and everyone could dress as they chose. It was so cute that Margaret's nephews chose to come dressed as dwarves.
Cinthia and I went as 70's gals and Sean went as a priest. I was pleasantly surprised to see that everyone who attended the party came dressed up in costume. It made the party so much more fun to see how much everyone got into it.
I am that person who notices details and let's just say that I was in detail heaven. I went overboard with pictures like I usually do but by now I'm sure you expect it. But really the amount of details that Margaret put into her daughter's first birthday party should be noticed. From the sticks on the candy apples, to the #1 piñata, the dwarfs candy favors, spell book, favor bags ... just every detail was thought of. But the thing that I can't seem to get over is the fact that she made this stuff. What do I have to do, to get this gift?

ReplyDeleteWOW! This party looks amazing. Now I feel like the super-lazy parent who threw up a Happy Birthday banner along with a table cloth and called it good- HAHA. Thank you for taking all the pictures, this is really cool. Is she down for planning other birthday events for kids ;) ?
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible party! Your friend should become a party planner or professional baker with a cake and details like this!
ReplyDeleteSeriously Faith - Margaret needs to try out for Cake Boss or some other competition. That cake looks sooo good! I want to dig my fingers into those roses and eat them all!! And the candy apple detail and the Oreo truffles? Wow! Too good! Now I need to go to a bakery to satisfy my sweet tooth... :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Everything was just perfect at this party! I'm swooning over the Dwarf snacks, the Snow White goodie bags, and all the treats!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so onpoint and you guys acted out the theme so well.
