Well, I learned that I do need to have them because it helps me to at least think about what I want to do. That in turn helps me get a few things done in the year. So here I go. A reborn believer in the New Year Resolution goals.
1. Most and foremost, I need to build a stronger relationship with God. I don't think I've ever used the term "most and foremost" in a sentence before.
2. Keep the communication doors open between the husband and I, to ensure that we always have a healthy and happy relationship.
3. Get back in shape (workout 4-5 days a week) and choose healthier foods to eat.
{I'm crying as I type this part, fyi, but I did manage to go to the gym last night and tonight AND I only had
4. Go natural {I will explain this in detail in a future post!}
5. Pay off 2 credit cards, those suckers suck.
6. Be the best friend, wife, family, me I can possibly be.
{I am aware that my list is kinda short, but I am realistic enough to know that the shorter the list is, the more likely I am to complete at least 2 of them!}
I think this a perfectly sized and balanced resolution list. I have this weird gut feeling that 2011 is going to be pretty incredible for you.
ReplyDeleteI love this list! Realistic!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a perfect list!! Everything is achievable!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'm about to write mine! Awesome job on working out by the way!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your goals for 2011!
ReplyDeleteThose are some great resolutions!!! I really want to pay off some debt as well...and save more:)
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions! I love the phrase, "those suckers suck" - very true! Good luck with everything - maybe change milk chocolate to dark chocolate, that could be easier to do if you're having issues w/chocolate cravings (I dunno... really, I have no great tips when it comes to dealing w/chocolate, i would cry without it.)
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to snuggle with the kitty more! lol... he definitely does NOT get enough cuddle time.
You have great goals for 2010. I think keeping it short and sweet does lend itself to success. have a wonderful 2011. Looking forward to hearing how everything goes.
ReplyDeleteMy gym goals right now are 1-2 times! You are already ahead of me!!
ReplyDeleteWorking out more is one of my resolutions too but I'll stick to 3 times a week or else....
ReplyDeletelove your list. i am still configuring mine. i have to delete some resolutions that have something to do with spending :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great goals! And very motivating! Still deciding if I want to make a list or just stick to one item. lol. I feel you on the working out part though... ugg... it's too hard.
ReplyDeleteHey doll! Great New Year Resolutions! You can do it!!! Regarding your first goal..have you read the book 'Crazy Love'? Its really good! Check it out! And, eating two pieces of chocolate..thats me too! lol
ReplyDeleteThose are very doable goals! Best of luck, mama! I'll be here rooting for ya :)
ReplyDeleteI love your goals =) It's so realistic and they are things you can stick to - -instead of just lose weight, you want to be healthier =)
ReplyDeleteBeing a better wife/friend to the husband is one of mine. Sometimes it's hard not to lash out at them when we've had a bad day =/
Faith,
ReplyDeleteI stopped w/resolutions because I also never followed through. I now set goals. My resolutions were missing plans. My goals have plans - steps I can follow to ensure success.
Hey, even though you said you would explain later, I think I understand. I didn't get "slow your roll," but I think I understand you “going natural.” If it is what I think it is, then you'll totally love it because it's so freeing. How cryptic can I be? You still don't know if I really know what I think you're talking about. Did you get all of that? I wish you success on your short list. Once you finish those, you can always add more later.
Those are great goals....can't wait to hear about the going natural. I assume its the hair?
ReplyDeleteShort but strong. Those are great resolutions.
ReplyDeleteTo good 2011 resolutions :)!
i definitely want to strengthen all of my relationships (that matter, at least) including with God. maybe we can help each other with tips throughout the year? : )
ReplyDeletecommunication is HUGE, omg...that's where The Mr and I would always get in trouble (and still do sometimes!)
you already look so fit, it's ridiculous, especially your calves and butt, SHEESH everytime I see your picture I wanna go jump on the elliptical! lol
going natural will be fun, but remember that if you make mistakes, it's just hair!! you will learn so much and become very comfortable with it.
"those suckers suck" lol! yes, they do. hence, the name of my blog...i hate being in debt, it's just not for me. which is kind of the opposite of my hubs, but i've helped him realize that being debt free is a good goal to have!
i don't think your list is too short, it's good to have focus and get your priorities straight! a short list shows that you know what's important to you.
