Last week, Sean and I had dinner at our favorite little mom & pop pizza shop. I'm really, really picky about the pizza I eat. I think it might be because I'm from the city and we all know that the city sells the best pizza. I'm not bias or anything. It's a fact.
So when I found Little Anthony's and had a slice I was obsessed. Even when my sisters come into town they agree that it's good pizza BUT they are still in the city, spoiling their taste-buds, so they don't get as excited as I do.
I didn't think it at all strange that I decided to bring my camera to document our little outing. I mean, all the normal people do this. And when I say people, I mean bloggers. And when I say normal, I mean insane.
After dinner, we went home and picked up Izabella for a long walk since the weather was so nice. Naturally, I brought the camera around for that too. Look at Sean looking all studly and stuff. He's wishing he didn't buy me this camera and had me wait until Black Friday.
The only thing not pictured is Sean saying, stop taking pictures of everything. Oh and me. But I was there, trust me ;).
Oh and this morning, I walked out of my house and was greeted with this:
While others are enjoying Spring-like weather, this is what I'm enjoying. #OVERIT!

Um, I am actually drooling. at 8am in the morning. For PIZZAAAAAA! your pictures are seriously SO good, everything, right down to the soda. What mode are you shooting on? And yes you are right, the city has the best pizza, you are so right to be a snob. LOL.
ReplyDeleteDerek and I are such huge pizza lovers. We have it at least once a week guaranteed! Yours looks yummy!! At some point Derek and I will make a trip to NYC to try NY style!
ReplyDeleteUgh so over this weather. C'mon spring!

Ok, now I am starving and CRAVING pizza! There is a really good "NY" style pizzeria near by that is one of my favorites, probably not up to your high standards but for this Texan it's good! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo when are you hosting photography classes? I need to take lessons from you ASAP!
Seriously.. my mouth is watering and I haven't had breakfast yet! You're getting so good with your camera!! Wow... I need to get some tips from you for sure!
ReplyDelete"He's wishing he didn't buy me this camera and had me wait until Black Friday."
ReplyDeleteI snickered out loud with that comment!!! OMG :)
We had snow yesterday and then freezing rain. So the rain melted most of it away but we're supposed to get more today.
And it's windy.
And cold.
And tomorrow we're in the high of 20s!
Ughhhh...
I join your "over it"! :)
That pizza looks sooo good!!!! Being from Chicagoland area, it's hard to compare to the deep dish but I am just a pizza lovin' freak.
I like it any way I can get it! (as long as it's just cheese though... LOL!) Thin, deep dish, stuffed, pan, etc.
I love me some pizza!
I hate that I can't see your photos from my work computer!!!! :(
ReplyDeletevery nice photos!! I need to bring my nice camera out more!
ReplyDeleteWe had a ton of snow too.... I'm WAY over it! Come on spring!!!

I can completely relate this whole post! First, I am also a pizza snob. One of the things my husband and I love to do is look for new shops and rate them. Its odd but its our thing. Second, I bring my camera everywhere and I am also hearing "do we really need a picture of that?". Why yes honey, we do. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou just had to post that pizza didn't you?? My fave. I'm not picky about pizza 'cause if it has cheese and bread I'm already in love!! Love it how only your boots made it into the pic! That's the way it be's sometimes for us crazy blogger/camera ladies.
ReplyDeleteThat pizza looks scrumptious! I totally used to bring my camera to restaurants too..buuut...I hate my camera bag..so..I stopped lugging it around :( I LOVE the pictures you took on your walk :D
ReplyDeleteI love all the pictures. We bloggers are such a strange breed of people. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOMG at that picture of Sean with the dog, looking so completely fed up I literally- LOL'd !
ReplyDeleteI love pizza ! and I'm the same way- I like city pizza ;)
Ok your pictures are amazing, those pizza pictures look like they are from a glossy magazine, my mouth is watering looking at them!!!!
ReplyDeleteI woke up to snow again this morning too :-( where has spring gone????
Xx
No! Not snow! Sorry about that. Well soon enough it will be warm again. I hope. I love finding little places to eat that are truly unique. I have found a few here in ABQ but I need to branch out for more. I'm not used to the Mexican food here. It's not my usual coastal Mexican food that I am used to. I still have hope though.
ReplyDeleteGIRL!!! You are now a pro with your camera! Way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the pics of pizza has me hungry! I should be doing better with my food intake but those pics certainly don't help!
And yes, every normal person should document their outing :-)
You have officially made me hungry- thank goodness tonight is my pizza night ;)
ReplyDeleteYuck- it is snowing here again, too :(

ReplyDeleteThat pizza looks amazing, the blog world need to see it! :)
You are getting SO good with your camera!
ReplyDeleteWhat was the most helpful advice you received?
And yes, I LOVE me some pizza!
That pizza looks incredible, I completely get what you're saying about certain places lacking that city flavour, not that there's many cities here for me to try the city kind of pizza in. I love these photos, we're having the same kind of issue with snow right now that leaves me hungry for Winter but I guess it's not the end of the world for me to wait it out and the same for you too, it'll come soon! I have to agree with the assessment above me that your camera work is getting better and better although it'd always been to a good standard but wow these photos are amazing! It's cool that your town is home of the woman's soccer national champions too!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I NEED some pizza...like, NOW. Yummmmm! You are such a great photographer Faith, you need to do something with that talent, lady! I'm thinking start your own business...you are too good not to! And it's seriously still snowing up there?! Dude, it was HOT in Houston the last two days. Almost 90 yesterday! We went to the park and sweated our butts off. Can we get a happy medium please? :)

ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at Sean's face above, too funny! And yum to pizza! Our favorite pizza place is Spin! SO good! It's not odd for us to have it at least once a month, though we haven't in a while due to my diet. Darn that.

Faith! Those pictures of the pizza look amazing!!! Like, professional! I need to get out and start taking more pics with mine and practicing more! I only take food pics at home, not at restaurants, and don't use it for taking other pics of people and scenery. What is wrong with me?!? That tree shot is gorg also :)
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me Faith! I'm trying so hard to be good and it's so hard with your pictures of poutine (can't stop thinking about that - it's making me crave french fries with gravy like what!!) and this pizza looks insane! Clinton and I can't find a good pizza place to save our lives. Believe it or not, the best pizza we can find is the buffalo chicken from my work's cafeteria! I actually order one to go right before I leave some nights!
