What brings you inspiration? The obvious answers for me are travel, amazing photography, nature, God's ability to always love and forgive me and the beach. But there are also simpler things that bring me inspiration as well. The morning light peeking through the curtains, the taste of a new dish, watching a stranger laugh hysterically, seeing a friend going after what they want, unlikely colors put together and the start of a brand new day. I get this burst of inspiration that I can do anything and everything.
Lately, I've been trying lots of new recipes and it has me feeling very inspired in the kitchen. I've even started creating my own recipes just for the fun of it all. If you know what you like to eat, I find that it is easy to whip up something new and delicious.
Or sometimes, I look at a picture I've taken and can't believe that I was the one who took it. Not because I think it's the best. Trust me, I love photography and am always trying to gather inspiration from it so I know SO many better than myself but sometimes I surprise myself with how much better I've become over the years.
Anyway, it got me curious to know what inspires you?
I am inspired by beautiful things in unlikely places. It is always a perfect reminder that God makes all things beautiful in their time. Seeing God at work inspires me to be better and apply myself more.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week!
I pretty much draw my inspiration from a lot of the same methods. I also get inspired from reading books and blogs, but travel, nature, photography, and God are at the top of my list. Just being about to witness God's grace, mercy, and creativity is enough to keep my creative tank full even though I have to remind myself of these marvels at times when I'm in a slump.
ReplyDeleteright now it's music. I have music on non stop. It motivates me to workout, it motivates me to cook. I don't know what I'd do without it!
ReplyDeleteThe weather seems to be my biggest inspiration as of late! When it's warm and sunny I'm drawn to bright things. When it's gray in dark I'm pulled towards more "moody" things.
ReplyDeleteThis made me happy just reading it <3 My biggest inspirations come from the sun rise/sunset. they are all genuinely so beautiful. The different colors, the way each one looks different. In the summer everything seems hot pink and golden. In the winter shades of blues and purples. I am in awe every single time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, visiting peoples art studios, a museum, listening to genuinely happy/positive people speak (maybe, because I'm more on the melancholy side of things- I find it refreshing), and experiencing to places and cultures.

ReplyDeleteI love to make things for other people. As I make one of my crocheted rope bracelets, I know in my mind who will receive it. And, throughout the making of the bracelet, I pray for the happiness for my recipient. I get such pleasure and feel complete when the gift is finally delivered.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are my greatest inspiration. Because of them I want to do so many things. I want to show them the world, I want to shape them up to be great human beings but most importantly, I want them to be happy and grateful human beings.
