On this post I shared my annoyance with myself for gaining quite a ton of weight since we got married. 33 lbs to be exact.
Yeah, 33 lbs.
Oh boy.
It is strange too. My body hides the extra weight really, really well. Or maybe that is what I think.
But I am down a total of 5.4 lbs.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
{Taking a bow}
I have a ways to go because I can't tell a difference but as long as I am eating healthier and exercising I know that I will get there.
I just won't tell you about the family size bag of Doritos that I ate in a span of 2 days all by myself.
What Faith craves. Faith gets.
Have fabulous weekends and try to stay away from Doritos.
fyi: that last line is really being said to me.
xoxo

Lol...isn't it amazing how fast the weight comes on and how slow it is to get off? Prior to getting pregnant, I had gained 22 since we got married and I was PISSED at myself because that was with exercising 5 times a week. I can only imagine how much more it would have been had I not worked out.
ReplyDeleteKudos on the weight loss! That's AWESOME progress.
Have a nice weekend!
you go! i have gained about 15 since we got married.. but i have been "dieting" pretty much since then.. since before then. i've gained ugh... 30 pounds since early college. i seem to go through cycles where i am good about eating and working out and lose like 5-8 pounds and then i give up for months and gain it back plus some.
ReplyDeletei do have to say that this year has been my best for exercising more consistently than ever. still at my highest weight though. BOOO! I can't seem to turn down delicious food or margaritas.
Wow that's a great loss, congrats!! Now I want Doritos, lol!!
ReplyDeleteYay...5.4lbs is great! I'm on my own weight loss journey so I know exactly how you're feeling. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteUGH! I've gained like 10 since the wedding... so annoying! Good work on the 5.4 lbs! You'll be back to normal in no time! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats my friend. Perhaps I will take some inspiration from you and try to loose some of the 25 lbs I've gained over the last 2.5 years. Maybe we should celebrate my kickoff with some ice cream? Yes, that sounds like a marvelous idea!
ReplyDeletefaith you look absolutely fabulous...i'm sure i'll have similar posts however post baby!
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work! You can do it :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go, lady! I hear you on the Doritos...I'm that way with crunchy Cheetos. The stupid things are just way too addicting.
ReplyDeleteway to go!!! and it is SO hard to be disciplined with foods - sweets are my temptation!! and I can't reply to your comments anymore! I found pretty little liars online and downloaded it and am already caught up - I love that show!!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up! And keep your hands out of the damn Doritos! ;)
ReplyDeleteT.
Good for you Faith. Exercise so you can enjoy some snacks. I gained 10lbs hoping to shed them too.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird how you look perfectly fine in photographs Faith, I'm glad that you've lost all of that weight anyway, I honestly don't think you should give it much worry though because you really are beautiful the way you are!
ReplyDeletemmm...inhaled me some cool ranch doritos yesterday...no shame. lol
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you and your 5.4lbs!! Keep it up!!
Congrats Faith! 5 pounds is awesome. Better than me losing none. I think if I did the math I've gained about 30 pounds since college. (And I think this is the first time I've really admitted that to myself! Maybe I just needed the right space to share that!)
ReplyDeleteIt's been especially hard this summer working at a frozen custard stand (translate that means lots of high caloric and highly declicious ice cream) and always being so tired I don't feel like I can work out.
Now, could you possibly do a post giving a few more details on how you're doing it? I know you're exercising and eating healthier, but are you doing weight watchers, calorie counting, specific workouts?
KEEP GOING YOU'RE DOING AWESOME!
5.6lbs is great! good job girl!
ReplyDeleteI have a secret... this morning I decided to have a "cheat" meal and bought a small bag of 8 mini donuts, not thinking they would be that bad (they are like the size of a bottle cap!). But then when I checked how much calories were in a bag, I almost threw up right there. Yup, 800 calories for 8 stupid mini donuts.
I feel gross.
Hey Faith, Think more on terms of being healthy rather than a particular weight or size. If you think healthy is the goal then you will be more likely to choose healthy food and exercise. If you think weight and clothing size you might feel restricting and like you are on a diet. We are more likely to binge and eating unhealthy foods when we feel they are off limits.
ReplyDeleteI know you want to have babies one day. So creating a healthy body to carry a healthy baby is a great goal to have in mind. :)
Good job Faith! You can definitely do it! I'd gained 25 pounds between 2008 and 2009 but lost 30 in 2010. It was all about discipline and dedication. I've since gained about 15 of that back.*hangs head in shame* BUT I'm working on it! We can do this!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood job! It's a start and you have to start somewhere. Too bad I won't be able to stay away from the Doritos. We normally don't keep chips in the house but for some odd reason hubby picked up the Doritos Taco Flavor? Have you tried em? Well don't. Too good and too hard to stop eating 'em once you start.
ReplyDeleteChica, that weight just CREEPS! Ugh! I am up 15 lbs since Christmas.. My bro asked me why today and I said cause I eat whatever I want! Lol Nice work on eating better!! (minus the Doritos, but hey, we still must indulge, right!? ;) Happy Friday!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with post wedding weight gain? We are quickly approaching year #2 and I put on quite a bit over that time frame. Once summer hit I got really down about it but have picked up walking/jogging, cut out sugar for the most part, and started juicing everyday. I've lost most of the weight in just a few months. Maybe marriage makes us so comfy that we don't notice until after our jeans don't fit anymore! lol Congratulations on the weight loss and I hope you can avoid the Doritos this weekend! ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking at pics of you now and from your wedding, you do NOT look 33 lbs heavier!
ReplyDeletePregnancy aside, I gained a good 13lbs from my wedding date to when I got pregnant. I was actually just starting to work out and stuff again when I found out I was pregnant haha! We were trying, but I figured it might take awhile and in the mean time, I could lose some weight. That obviously went out the window and I gained 32 lbs with my pregnancy. I left the hospital needing to lose 15 pounds to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. Breastfeeding made me lose 25 lbs and it was awesome because I was able to eat everything and still lose weight! I miss those days...
My biggest issue when I diet is not snacking all night. Around 5pm onward all I want to do is eat everything in sight! I lost 10 lbs just by exercising and cutting out the night snacking. Once I fell off that wagon I gained 8 back and now I'm trying to lose it again. Best of luck! It's hard, but you can do it! :)
Awe! How awesome! Congrats! Progresses with weight always brings the sense of accomplishment!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the weight loss- you are doing great!! and i think you are absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeletei actually gained a lot the year i got married (isnt that backwards?) and have lost 25 lbs since getting married... and still want to lose another 25. it is so tough to get back off!
A pound is a pound, you'll get there girl : )
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S AWESOME! Congrats. I did the same thing with dorito's recently too, which is why I NEVER bring chips into the house. That is what happens.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the new layout. I'm so behind! But it looks so good!
Just hang in there. It took me a year and a half, but I lost over 71 pounds! Take it one day at a time and be patient!
ReplyDeleteAt least you didn't eat the bag of doritos in one sitting which I am sadly guilty of!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! 5.4 pounds is a huge deal!!! Girl Doritos are my Achilles heel lol one of them at least!
ReplyDeleteI was doing well after the wedding...I can't wait until the baby to get back into working out...I actually miss it!! Way to go on your journey....one pound at a time:-)
ReplyDeletecongrats on the weight loss! losing weight is not an easy thing to do! keep up the good work, you are a beautiful woman regardless!
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration to us all!!!
ReplyDeletefaith it seems like you are on the right track. And for the Doritos, everyone deserves a cheat day :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your weight loss! I can't blame you about the Doritos though! They are pretty tasty :) Aw man, now I'm craving Doritos, haha!
ReplyDeleteI think I've mentioned before that those dang Doritos get me too LOL (I've been doing better though, opting for fruit & sunflower seeds instead. Stay strong Faith! :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I so commiserate with you on this one! I gained 10 pounds after getting married, and now I've gained baby weight. I just keep thinking how much I've got to take off once Baby Girl gets here, and it can get me down in the dumps if I'm not careful. Good for you for taking control and making a positive change.
ReplyDeleteAnd Doritos are sinfully good. I can't buy them. Ever. Or I eat the ENTIRE bag by myself.
Congrats. I need to get on the weight loss train with you.
ReplyDeletemmmm Doritos...
ReplyDelete*yes that is ALL I got from this post* ;-) But of course...THAT is why you love me :-)
