Well, wouldn't you know it? My readers like vacation recaps. I guess you wouldn't follow me if you didn't like them, right? I mean, honestly, don't trust a person who does not like travel/vacation posts. Although, I must admit that this Vegas recap is going to be boring compared to previous years. We did a lot of relaxing. We didn't even go dancing. We always go dancing. This just means that we'll have to go again next year and really live it up ;).
We arrived in Vegas early last Wednesday. Once we retrieved our luggage, we waited on a very long line to get a cab. Once we arrived at the Rio we were quickly checked in which was very nice. We stayed at the Rio last year and had a great experience so we decided to do it again. Although, I will say that if you do decide to stay at the Rio always rent a car. We didn't (a first) and we decided that our 3rd night we would check into a hotel on the strip. I think when we're in Vegas we like to be on the strip. So much energy and crazy people. Let's face it, the crazy people make Vegas ;).
Since the weather was in the high 80s we decided to head to the pool. The Rio has a great selection of pools. They have a section that has sand so it resembles a mini beach. I did not take pictures of the pool this day but I'll share in my next post. We enjoyed being poolside for several hours and then headed back to our room to get ready for the evening.
I decided to not take pictures this evening and you know it's strange when it is Sean who decides to take pictures of the view from our room and request to take pictures of my outfit.
After dinner and a quick walk around the casino we headed to see a show. This was pretty exciting since we've never gone to a show while in Vegas. We saw Jubilee. It was beautiful. The costumes were incredible. Full of so much color and sparkle.
Cameras were not allowed and for the first time in a long while I was OK with that.

ReplyDeleteI personally like vacation recaps so keep em coming =) I miss vegas now
ReplyDeleteYeah-Vegas re cap!! And just relaxing in Vegas sounds wonderful. I'm interested to see if we will muster up the energy for the obligatory out dancing night when we go. I've never stayed at the Rio because we like to be on the strip but it does look sooo nice!!! Even when we drive to Vegas and have a car it stays in the parking garage because there is just too much traffic. And we usually take that bus thingy to our hotel. It takes longer but it's cheaper then a cab.
ReplyDeletehow fun! my little sister lives in vegas, and i still don't get out there as much as i'd like!
